Back to My Home Village

6 05 2008

Not a hometown. But a home village. I said that because of my home is in a quite and remote village. Yeah, My home is in Lampung. I went there for being home, visiting my beloved parents. Mmm, it was an interesting. Looking at my parents are healthy is a wonderful thing.

It made me aware that what I have done in Bandung and Jogja has so many meaning. It was a process. I am not a child anymore now. I should make them happy in their whole life. You know, I am lucky being their child. Careness, love, faith, and many things they have taught me bring me like this. Thank’s Mom and Dad. I love you very much.

Tuesday (29/4), I went to Lampung. I don’t have any story to tell about the trip because it was night and I couldn’t see the scenery. It is 10 p.m. from my rent room. I asked my kind friend, Nantha, to carry me to Leuwi Panjang. Thank’s, Dud! Then from Leuwi Panjang, I rode a bus to Merak harbor. A half past three a.m. I arrived Merak. Then continue to ride a Ferry, acrossed Sunda Strait. The next destination is Bakauheni Harbor. After 2 hours in a ship, I rode a travel to Panjang, a place before Bandar Lampung. It was 8 a.m. Then, I might ride a public transportation to reach my home. It was such a tiring trip. But then I was really happy because home and parents near to me.

I spent for 4 days. I did many activities there. I did my final project, went to Church, pray together every morning, recover my nutrients by eating :), and many more ( I think it is an important activity… mmmm!). I also attended my friend’s marriage mass in Church. They are Ismunadi and Nita. Mmm, it’s such a quick time I think. I feel like just yesterday he and I play on a Sunday School in Church.. :) Congrats, Man! Be a good father and husband!

Sadly, four days is over. Sunday afternoon, 3 p.m. I leaved my home. By an ‘ojek’ I went down the hill. The way is the same as the first way I went to. In a ferry ship, I enter the executive class, only paid 8 thousand rupiahs extra price to get a cozy room with an air conditioner. There was an ‘organ tunggal’ entertainment. There were two singers and some passangers tried to sing. Mmm, Indonesia like dangdut, right? It is true. Why? The first five songs are Pop, but the next request songs are dangdut. Mmm, nope. Even I don’t like dangdut very much, I enjoyed it. I just watched them and did not participate to sing.

The ship leaned on the Merak Harbor at 8 p.m. Then I rode a bus which goes to Bandung.

Having arrived Leuwi Panjang Bus Station in Bandung, I might wait for an hour in a public transportation car because there are only a few passanger. It is not comfortable.. I arrived my rent room at 3.30 a.m. As a result, I spent 2 hours from Leuwi Panjang Bus Station to Cisitu. It was crazy…

I calculate how much money I spent for transportation. Here it is:

Mmm, the trip style like this is cheaper than I went to Lampung by a direct bus. I can save some money. Let me compare:

My trip style:
Bandung-Merak Bus: 45.000; Ferry Ship: 10.500 + 8.000 (extra price for executive class); travel to Tanjung Karang/ Bandar Lampung: 30.000. Total: IDR 92.500,00

Direct bus Bandung-Bandar Lampung: IDR 150.000,00.

Then I can save IDR 67.500,00.

Remembering my High School Group Band

23 04 2008

Jealous. This word reminds me my High School phase. Why? It is because my high school group band played Jealously, by Queen. I rememeber my band, which is personalized by wonderful and talented persons. They are Sastro in drum, Jati and Yogi in guitar, Yoyok in bass guitar, and I am in vocal. This group band named Wendellyn.

Maybe all of you still reminds, our first debute in Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta in gedung Purna Budaya? Sorry, my vocal production is not appropriate for those kind of rock songs: “Pelangi by Boomerang”. Recently, I realize that I am not a rocker. Have you remember that I can’t reach some high notes on Sweet Child’s of Mine? Haha…It made our band didn’t pass the qualifications.

Unfortunately, our band is over when I was in second grade of high school. :-(

Kya… kya… Remembering it makes me laugh at all. :-) And recently, we have different and separated life now. We are final university students in various universities in Indonesia. Jati took Medicine Faculty in UNS (University State of Surakarta), Yoyok took Mechanical Engineering in Gadjah Mada University, Yogi took Accounting in STAN, while Sastro and I are still in the same major and same university, Bandung Institute of Technology. Nobody chose Musical Faculty. :)

I think everyone of us has girlfriend. You know, I have just got it, guys! It is about 5 months ago. It is a wonderful thing. After such years I am alone, without girls. Now, I am no STMJ, no SLJJ, anymore! Would you like to share your experience when dating? Haha… How did you feel, guys?

When You Believe

23 04 2008

I have just listened to the song: When You Believe. It is such a beautiful song. It has beautiful lyrics. And those lyrics taught me how to struggle my life. “it can happen, you can achieve, when you believe!”

Yes, you can achieve when you believe! Even it is really hard! Don’t be afraid!

This night has a full moon. The air is heavy with the aromatic of flowers. Stars is easy to look, now. Thank God, for everything that You have given to me. My family, my soul mate, my friends, and many things that I cannot explain. When I believe, I can reach and achieve everything. When You will.

In the middle of this night, I cannot sleep easily. I have been slept for 3 hours this day. :-)

Catholic Churches in Bandung

21 04 2008

A French said that Churches in Europe has changed to be a touring place. I don’t know it is true or not. But in Indonesia, Churches are still being a holly place to pray especially for Christian.

There are five Churches that I have visited in Bandung. They are Cathedral, St. Boromeus, St. Melania, St. Therecia (Karmel), and St. Laurentius. Exactly, I have ever visited Pandu Church, near by Istana Plaza, Jl. Pajajaran. But I don’t have a photo.

Cathedral Church, Jl. Merdeka

St. Boromeus

St. Melania, near by Jl. Diponegoro (Geology Museum)

St. Therecia, Lembang

St. Laurentius

Mostly, the architecture of churces are Netherland inheritances. Especially for St. Boromeus and Cathedral. I usually follow Mass in one of them.

Poverty in a Modern Society

16 04 2008

When I wrote this post, I met a mother who asked me to give her some helps. She said that she and her child had walked from Lembang. She wanted to go to Leuwi Panjang. She asked me what is the public transportation which will carry them. I didn’t care she lied or not (I think yes!). I gave her some money transportation, as I did before with the same reason. I think it was a classic trick. A human is forced to lied because of hunger.

Under the fly over of Pasupati Bandung, I shotted some photos. Maybe they are very sensitive, but they are real. They are surrounding us!

13 04 2008

Do The Best!

8 04 2008

A cup of hot chocolate milk  accompany me to write this post. It makes my body warmth although it is raining. Furthermore, I have already got dinner with delicious fish, sarden, and lettuce vegetable. It made me stronger than before. I want to thank my room board Mam, who made my dinner. I am here also came with my dearest Toshiba Satellite A215-S7444 to help me create wonderful post everytime I wish.

What I have done this day? I have joined the Financial Engineering class. Exactly, I didn’t really intend to join it. Why? Because I am going to fight a Satellite Communication System and Terrestrial mid test tomorrow. It is not common for this subject, because based on the record story of the last semester, there was no mid term. I don’t know why it suddenly comes out. Should I blame the story teller? Hummm. It is not a good idea.

I will do the best!

The test has come. I did well, not bad. I just wait for the result. I have got some mistaken parameter, such as radius of earth. It should be 6370 km! I wrote 6730km. Oh, No!
I forgot to include my free space loss too.
Human error! Oh Human error!

Pizza Nite Dating and My Dad’s Birthday

7 04 2008

The sky was so clear at that time. But evening made the light of the day being dark gradually. After doing ‘muscle exercise’ at Sabuga Fitness Centre, I went to Campus. Then I parked my motorcycle in the East Hall park. Exactly, I went to Campus to finish my problem in FPS Committee and accompany my girlfriend doing her homework in Comlabs.

Finishing my problem in FPS committee, I went to Comlabs and browsed some junk webs and updated this blog while my girlfriend did her homework. Then She asked me to go to buy two ices cream and some Pizzas in Pizza Hut Dago. Hence, my stomach was full. I was satisfied eating those pizzas, even we only ordered three small pizza. I didn’t know why. I am usually desirable eating pizza, but now, I was fastly satisfied.

selamat ultah, Pak

Long time no eat ice cream and drink some ice soda, I felt terible when the night has come. My body lose some sweat when I slept, although it is common because Bandung in last three days having some crazy dry. My throat was full of phlegm. My head is dizzy.

But my mind is happy because today, April 5th is my Dad’s birthday. I have already expressed my birthday greeting onto him at 12.01 am, Happy 63rd Birthday, Dad! Semoga Panjang Umur, sehat selalu! I am nothing without you! You are my love of my life, Dad! It is proud of me that people told me, “Like Father Like SOn!” Coz you are so nice and full of love to your children. I Love You, Dad!
