Mandiri Entrepreneurship Workshop

Last June 2nd at West Hall ITB, I joined Wirausaha Muda Mandiri (WMM). It was so fun. It is not only because of Dian Sastro and Artika Sari Devi, but also the subject of the workshop that opened my mind. There were caliber speaker such as Rhenald Kasali, Iman Taufiq, and many succeed entrepreneurs.

I also sang with ITB Students Choir there. We sang Bendera, Bangun Pemudi Pemuda, and I Believe I Can Fly. For the last song, I didn’t sing anymore because of my sleepiness.

I enjoyed this workshop, and I was so delightful when my friends, Rico, Nanta, etc., known this workshop by my posts at Civitas milis. We’ve got a reward of transportation fee, a laptop bag, lunch, coffee break, and dinner. Btw, for participants of this workshop, you should take the certificate at PCAD ITB.

Then Rico and I went to Setyo’s house to join Makrab EL 04. ow ow…

My Birthday

Today is my birthday. I am 21 years old now. My girlfriend, Tere, said her greeting this night and gave me some gift. Mmm, Then, My family, my sister, my Mom & Dad, Imel, Mezo, Kristian, Caleuy, Novri, etc. also said greetings. Mmm, What are my birthday wishes?

1. Graduate from this lovely campus

2. Apply some jobs, and get it.

3. Be positive, Not being a temperamental person

4. More loving my family, my Mom, Dad, and sister.

Hopefully I am blessed… being more kind and always be myself.

Remembering my High School Group Band

Jealous. This word reminds me my High School phase. Why? It is because my high school group band played Jealously, by Queen. I rememeber my band, which is personalized by wonderful and talented persons. They are Sastro in drum, Jati and Yogi in guitar, Yoyok in bass guitar, and I am in vocal. This group band named Wendellyn.

Maybe all of you still reminds, our first debute in Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta in gedung Purna Budaya? Sorry, my vocal production is not appropriate for those kind of rock songs: “Pelangi by Boomerang”. Recently, I realize that I am not a rocker. Have you remember that I can’t reach some high notes on Sweet Child’s of Mine? Haha…It made our band didn’t pass the qualifications.

Unfortunately, our band is over when I was in second grade of high school.

Kya… kya… Remembering it makes me laugh at all. And recently, we have different and separated life now. We are final university students in various universities in Indonesia. Jati took Medicine Faculty in UNS (University State of Surakarta), Yoyok took Mechanical Engineering in Gadjah Mada University, Yogi took Accounting in STAN, while Sastro and I are still in the same major and same university, Bandung Institute of Technology. Nobody chose Musical Faculty.

I think everyone of us has girlfriend. You know, I have just got it, guys! It is about 5 months ago. It is a wonderful thing. After such years I am alone, without girls. Now, I am no STMJ, no SLJJ, anymore! Would you like to share your experience when dating? Haha… How did you feel, guys?

Pizza Nite Dating and My Dad’s Birthday

The sky was so clear at that time. But evening made the light of the day being dark gradually. After doing ‘muscle exercise’ at Sabuga Fitness Centre, I went to Campus. Then I parked my motorcycle in the East Hall park. Exactly, I went to Campus to finish my problem in FPS Committee and accompany my girlfriend doing her homework in Comlabs.

Finishing my problem in FPS committee, I went to Comlabs and browsed some junk webs and updated this blog while my girlfriend did her homework. Then She asked me to go to buy two ices cream and some Pizzas in Pizza Hut Dago. Hence, my stomach was full. I was satisfied eating those pizzas, even we only ordered three small pizza. I didn’t know why. I am usually desirable eating pizza, but now, I was fastly satisfied.

Long time no eat ice cream and drink some ice soda, I felt terible when the night has come. My body lose some sweat when I slept, although it is common because Bandung in last three days having some crazy dry. My throat was full of phlegm. My head is dizzy.

But my mind is happy because today, April 5th is my Dad’s birthday. I have already expressed my birthday greeting onto him at 12.01 am, Happy 63rd Birthday, Dad! Semoga Panjang Umur, sehat selalu! I am nothing without you! You are my love of my life, Dad! It is proud of me that people told me, “Like Father Like SOn!” Coz you are so nice and full of love to your children. I Love You, Dad!

ITB Graduation Ceremony

PSM ITB (ITB Students Choir) usually performs a graduation performance in the middle of the graduation ceremony at Sabuga. On last ITB Graduation Ceremony, Saturay March 8th, 2008, Cimol and Andre sang duet featuring PSM ITB.

I couldn’t wait for watching the performance of Cimol and Andre at ITB Graduation Ceremony. They would perform a song from Gita Gutawa and Delon, which is “Your Love”. I just wanted to see their performance. I wasn’t interested with the flow of ceremony because I have already attended it for several times.

They performed well. They were still nervous to sing that song. Cimol just stared to cry at the first lyrics. But, She could handle it. Andre was still nervous along the performance. But, I saluted to them who have already graduated from Bandung Institute Technology, the best Technology College in Indonesia. I am still dreaming whether I will graduate on the next ceremony or won’t. I can’t wait going out from this campus, coz I am bored now. But, I don’t know,… maybe by the time I have graduated, I will miss the atmospheres, friends, lecturers, and anybody on this campus. This campus is very unforgettable. It such a fast time. Yeah, perhaps I will miss them all.

I think this song is about the life spirit…. Tommy and Gina fight to gain the bad of life. No matter how hard it is, they always keep their mind for love. They realize that they are in a half way (from life and death)… then they want to enjoy their life… without any suffers.

Furthermore, the song is about prayers…. They do their duty to pray. Maybe, livin on the surrounding of prayers will make me easy to do my life, but it is not a guarantee…  WhadboutU? For me, I’m still learning to pray.. Without  Him, I am vulnerable, weak, and looser…. Keep praying! No matter how you feel today… God Bless You.

Keep Moving Forward

Yesterday I have just watched Meet The Robinson Movie. It is a great animation movie that I’ve ever seen. It’s not about the quality of the animation… It is about the theme and wisdom on that movie… i’m really inspired…

In the end, the movie said that:

“AROUND HERE, HOWEVER, WE DON’T LOOK BACKWARDS FOR VERY LONG.
WE KEEP MOVING FORWARD, OPENING UP NEW DOORS AND DOING NEW THINGS, BECAUSE WE’RE CURIOUS… AND CURIOSITY KEEPS LEADING US DOWN NEW PATHS.”

Would you like to watch this movie? I think it is good for a person who wants to start their research, or just a thesis, like me…. Because from that movie you can find the hopes… dreams… and how to implement it… Don’t be hopeless if you had a troubles or problems… Coz… because of them, you can attempt everything…

Bakso Mandeep in front of Istiqomah Mosque

Have you ever eaten bakso?

I think mostly people love bakso. For bakso lover, You should try the Bakso Mandeep in front of Istiqomah Mosque. It’s near by Jalan Riau Bandung. You will get low price! Imagine that siomay, tahu, and fried bakso is only IDR 5hundreed, small bakso IDR 1000, and big bakso: Rp. 2500. Haha…

Enjoy your food by yourself coz you can take the bakso as much as you want! You can take it by yourself (self service!).

Last time I went there with my closed friend, my dearest girl… She feels happy coz it’s first time she went there. For you, boys, or girls who want to spend a time to eat Bakso, Visit that place: Bakso Mandeep Malang, in front of Istiqomah Mosque. Do it, and Enjoy!
