Lots of knowledge from Senipah

Yuppy… I have gone to Senipah again. I have got lots of knowledge about Telecommunication activities in there. CCTV is my main topic. But I got other topics, such as PA GA (Public Address General Alarm), RTS (Radio Trunking System), PABX, Radio Marine, NDB (Non Directional Rdio Beacon), etc.

I met Pak Gatot who leads the Senipah Telecommunication activity by himself. He is very kind and like to teach me. I also had a chance to help the contractor who was installing radio marine and amplifier of PA GA.

It’s such a wonderful experience, and I have done my vacation report in Bahasa. (But… I should finish my real OJT report in english…)

Badminton Match

In the middle of rain, early in the morning at 8.00am, I went to Budiman Sport Hall, near to Budiman/Bina Kutai Hotel. My objective is gonna join the match, to play badminton as a player of IST (Information System and Telecommunication) Division. The match is held in the framework of Independence day, August 17, 2007.

This was a group match. And it’s the continuous match after last Wednesday we lose in the game. There might be 3 part of match. Two double and one mixed double. I played with Pak Tulus in double match category.

I’ve got heart beat… (Deg-degan, guYs!) and finally, We won the first set…. 15-13. But… suddenly we lose our concentration and got lose in the second and third set with 9-15 and 2-15. It’s very hard…. (coz I know, that exactly we can win… !)

While in another match, Mas Agung and Pak Karyono also lose… (ogh,….)

No problem…. I was satisfied in that game… coz I spent my energy in that game. Probably, I can win the next match… (I don’t know… maybe if I were an employee in TOTAL E&P Indonesie, I will continue my career as a badminton player as an IST division emissary). (watcha…. !)

I feel bad today. My breath is still hard.. I don’t know it happens to me. I never feel like this before.
Why? I truely didn’t know.
But today I have a coincidence invitation from Tyas. Coz I activated my YM account and chatted with her. Yeah.. I asked her bout lunch… then,… she asked me to go to her hoz. Yeah, I asked Icha to go with me. Then I met Tyas’ mom and father in her hoz. I also met Yufa TK03.

At 3 pm, ica had to go to Bontang by plane, so she went to Sepinggan airport first at 1 pm. Yeah, don’t 4get to bring me any food from bontang, yup!

At night, There was a match: Indonesia vs South Korea. And, as u know, Indonesia was lose that match. Sadly, just 1-0 for indonesia.
Then I had to go to Meteor Sport building near to Makro Department store in Balikpapan to join the match of badminton… sadly, I lose. I was matched with Reswa in mixed double categories. This make me be ashamed… but no matter.
Yeah, then I went to kos2an. Mr Karyono carried me to.
Exactly I was disapointed coz today I have to go to Meteor by angkot,… whereas, before I had an appointment with Andien to carry me with. But… misunderstanding … (no matter, lah)
So today what is my lucky? I’ve got a t-shirt of independence day!
haha… I think it’s very good….

Office and Office again…

Office and Office again. I went there for so-and-so many time. I just keep my mind not to be lime (woaaahahahaa)

This is the day that I started to new topic: CCTV. I have to arrange my meeting with Mas Harly, which separated place from me, in Gunung Utara. Before that, I also have a study from Pak Rio. Yeah, He explained me sistematicaly, and I should start not to have an a priori to him. He is very kind… now. Hehe

At 4.30 I have a fortune time coz Mas Tulus went to this office and would go to Gunung Utara.. (Mean: I can go with him to go there!) yeah..

I have a nice explanation again from Mas Harly… about CCTV. Maybe I should write that topic in a special post. Thanks Mas Harly. Maybe today (July 18, 2007).

Then…….. in this week… I should study… study …. and study… !!!

And the things that I should concern and obligate:
- don’t forget to fill journal
- don’t forget to study all the things that I don’t understand…
- but, what the essence of this OJT (On Job Training??) = study and study???
- don’t forget also to socialize with all the people in the atmosphere of work…

This is the day that people maybe say: I don’t like hate Monday. I also feel like that.. coz I have hard breath… I don’t know, this make my mind stop thinking and hard to do anything.
But, today, I have to finish my task from Rio to copy SisiNubi Project documentation. I did’t understand, why he came to my room suddenly and asked me to do that… whereas, before this, he is not kind to me…
(i don’t know why?)
Exactly, I have finished my task yesterday (On Friday). I just keep to hole few papers, dude.

Incidently, I talked to him in the middle of I went to toilet… I have a lot of things from him. It’s about how to understand telecommunication, how to understand work, how the material of your study in university is just a feeeeeeew (little!)

Once again, I really surprised with his change to me.
(Oh… I feel hard to breath, today!) Shit!
 

Goin to Manggar Beach (2nd part)

On Sunday, at 1 pm, Ica invited us (Yudi, Irvan, Angga, Kumis, Intan, Rida, and I) to join her Bday party in Pizza Hut. It’s 2nd time I went there after Sabana’s party. Thx, Ca! She ordered 3 kinds pizzas and I’ve got 4 slices, guys! How satisfied I was!

You know, I deliberated not to eat in the morning, because of this invitation. So, I fell pain on my stomach because of this. haha….

Yeah, Then we went to Manggar Beach, the beach that I’ve visited yesterday. Angga drove Ica’s car, Kuda Mitsubishi. After arrived there, I went to the toilet (WC) to lose my pain! hehe…

The beach is full of visitors. They were playing football, playing on the sand, and riding a speedboat! There were also several visitors just sat and saw the beach. Obviously, the beach is dirty of coals, you can look it for a while in the mouth of the beach. It’s black.

THen we can’t help riding a speedboat together, except Irvan (I don’t know why, he didn;t want to join us). With IDR 60.000, we ride that speedboat for 15 minutes go along the edge of beach. I think it’s a wonderful vacation after I worked 5 days in the office.

Then we bought ice coconut… wuuuaaw, it’s very delicious and lose my thirst.

We also visited Mall Fantasi in the end of this vacation. I played DDR with Intan, but I can’t play that games…. (dancing) sorry!!!

Before that we have also done a photo session in Ica’s housing complex, Balikpapan baru. It’s not important but it’s time to play and have fun, right?

Coz tomorrow I have to work in the office.

I arrived in my kos2an at 8pm. It’s night…
Then I have dinner by buying a Lontong Sayur in Jerry’s kos2an.
Today, I feel happy and tired… hehe.

Goin to Manggar Beach (1)

Today, I played badminton as usual. The differences of this day than b4 are:
1. there is no Pak Narto joined this club
2. there are several newcomers in this club
3. I’m very spirited and very tired…
Then I’ve got lunch: Bakso.

Then I went to home and Sleep…
Bath…
I went to Angga’s hoz. He was still doing nothing. Then In the middle of the planning to go to Icha’s hoz, I was phoned by Jerry for joining Andy and Tulus to go to Manggar Beach. I received and agreed to go them with.

Manggar Beach is near to Sepinggan Airport. Not really near, I mean, yeah for 15 minutes motorcycle reach by. I went there from Jerry;s hoz from 17.15, and arrived in Manggar, at 18.00. It’s also getting on by asking several people in. We past over several industrial building such as Haliburton, PatraIndo, BJ, Thiess Indonesia, etc. But I didn’t find Schlumberger office there, I don’t know???? whereas the advertisement fo ITB is very interesting and plenty of interested persons.

We all took some pictures and talking something interesting. We also observed a Family were playing in brown sand.

In the way went home, We come by Tambora Seafood restaurant. We ordered a portion of crab. It’s very delicious,…. and I think it is very interesting for OJT person in total! one portion is IDR 70.000,00
it can be for 3/4 persons. You can ordered the kangkung vgetables, etc.

Nice journey for this week end. I feel comfortable among them (Petrophysic’s persons in TOTAL) coz they are very friendly and kind. I was treated by them this dinner. How wonderful I am!!

But, Sadly, today Indonesia was lose versus Saudi Arabia in Asian Cup. It was disappointed and broken Indonesians coz the second goal is created in the 1st last minute!!! How sad Indonesia is! The score is 1-2. (Indonesian goal is created by Elly Elboy!) Heheh…Gut Job Dude!
I think it is the biggest match I’ve ever seen Asian CUP! Viva Indonesia!

Yeah, I have to prepare my presentation on Wednesday. I hope I can finish it on Monday. So, on Tuesday, I only review it and prepare my speech.

I started this day by getting up at 6 am. Then took a bathe and had breakfast by buying nasikuning in Karangjawa Street. I bought two packs, one for lunch, coz I would go to office to work overtime (do my report and preparation of presentation)

Yeah, not bad. 60 percent of my report is finished. But I have to remember that I haven’t prepare my power point presentation yet. OMG… Perhaps it will be finish on Monday too! Better or not, I should do it.

If I calculate my report writing time: (Wednesday to Tuesday) It will be 7 days!! I think it’s enough for me! Do it well! I can do my best! Even I don’t know well my material, I should be confident in front of the audiences, even only my mentor!

In the afternoon, I went to Church with Tyas. I was She picked me up from office at 5 pm and coincidently, I met Yuva(TK03) and Raihan(MS04). They have been in Tyas’ house… Maybe for have fun. Before going to Church, I came by Yuva’s kos2an. Oh… Apparently, It’s Poppy’s kos2an, yup, it’s true!

 

 I didn’t go home with Tyas. I went home with Andy, my senior high school mate. Then Andy treated me pork in the area, near to BlueSky hotel after arrived in Jerry’s house. It’s very delicious PORK! haha…Thx Andy!

Then I loose my weary by watching F1 in Jerry’s house. Haha… I hope it will be a good Sunday…

There are many devices inside the shelter. If I specify in TOTAL E & P backbone equipment, I’ll find ALCATEL 9400 LX microwave radio, New Bridge 3600 Mainstreet (multiplexer), SAGEM multiplexer (some of them), power panel, and GSM radios.

Aproximately, inside the building, i can figure it below:

Then How do they work?
The technology that is recently utilized in TOTAL is PDH (Plesiochrounous Digital Hierarchy), with 34Mbps capacity, or you can say it, 16E1. Radio will interface in each link and work point to point.

Theoriticaly, PDH is the first standardized digital higher-order transmission hierarchy from ITU-T (CCITT, at that time). The higher-order multiplexers of PDH are allowed to operate according to their own independent clock frequencies. Then there are two versions of PDH, European and American versions. The multiplexed stage details are shown below.

TOTAL use ALCATEL 9400 LX in this system. And as long as ALCATEL devices is used for 10 years, there are no important trouble. But, because POSTEL regulation and regeneration, TOTAL has to replace its devices with new one. THen, (project still in progress), Total changes its technology from PDH to SDH.

When LOYALITY is hard to find…

I spent my time by playing badminton. I ve done it for 3 times for 3 weeks. Then it will be my routine. Sadly, there are no special things today. I just played and loosed my sweat as usual.

However, there is One thing that I remembered. I met Pak Narto. He is senior person in Petrophysics division. Although he is only a contractor in TOTAL, he has a lot of experiences in Schlumberger, the company that he worked for his whole work time. He told me his work experiences in Schlumberger. He had gone to Sout America, Abudabi, and several sites in Indonesia for his work. I was surprised because he stood for a long time in Schlumberger. In fact, hard work and full pressured are the reasons for persons quit from that company after collecting money. He made it! (it’s incredible and unbelievable!)

On the other hand, I still had a load: my Job Training Report. Coz I have to finished it in 3 days. (SUN< MON< TUE!). Can I fight and do it well? Hopefully!

I just remember this proverb: If you have a big PROBLEM, don’t say: “GOD, I hv a big problem, but say: “Problem, I have a BIG GOD!” do you agree?
I hope it will make me be spirited!

Some people said that 7 is lucky number… Do YOU AGREE?
Yeah, two days ago I read newspaper that stated there are more than 2000 couples in USA married in that day. I was really surprised! Many couples waited July 7, 2007 to be their married day.
The impacts?
the impacts are: Married organizer busines are selling well, all the building for ceremonial are booked.. (then, I don’t know it has a corelation or not) maybe there will be thousand of people getting ML at the same time. Additionally: it’s Saturday, that means,,… it is holiday. You don’t need to remember your work task, right. U just do your task with your husband/wife?
Haha…I also think that hotel workers work hard this week!

Yeah, as usual I work by studying and finishing my report.
Because… next week… (July 11th!!!) I hv to
present and finish my ‘on job training’ report!
Then I change my topic from Microwave to CCTV. Really, I’m still holding on.
Coz there are no good flows in my mind.

To make it clear and blew up, I just write this poem:

When Balikpapan slept,
When the wind blew in the middle of the night,
People in this town came out to the midnight life!

Although it’s Thursday Night (MALAM JUMAT!!)
People in the midnight life still open their eyes
To see all the things that can make them rise!

I feel it…
My heart beating quickly
I just let me flow to the night wind…
and still thinking positive, bout what’s goin on.

Then I entered the room…
The room that Indonesian people said pub, discotic, or dugem!
Oh…
Really, for me, it is my first time goin to that place!
It’s weird… But If I never gonna there, Maybe I can’t feel it until then.

My roommate friends in the office, Mas Agung and Pak Mansyuri 
treated me some beer.

Yeah,, I’ve never do this b4…
Imagine, We (two) must drink 2 litres of beer Haineken…
The taste is cold and bitter, though it has a little sweet.
I hv drunk for 4 beer glasses. Maybe it’s usual for people there. But AIn’t.
I went to the toilet for 5 times to pee.

While I drunk and take some snacks, disco music played in the middle of
the flip-flop lighting… In the darkest situation, there are many sexy girls sang songs…
and
dance for a while.

The songs that I remembered are dokter cinta,sms, and other western songs.

Unfortunately, there are only few people visited to that pub. Maybe, tonight (Friday night)
or tomorrow (Saturday night)?

Oh… again and again. I’m coming back to my desk and a computer.

I moved to Icha’s room. Coincidently, There is a computer and a desk in her room, not booked! That means that I can use that stuff! Yeah! I can work again with new atmosphere, with my classmate!

But… unfortunately, I don’t know why, my idea is not flew up as usual! My idea doesn’t spoil! It means that I should go to get my mind up! I can’t realize that my feeling’s is gone now! I don’t know why my idea is gone away! I had some trouble in paragraph development. It’s about the idea and a comprehension thing! (Should I go to an english course ?)

I missed my family… (My mother went to Lampung on Wednesday, then She will arrive Lampung on Thursday!) Oh, Mom,,,….. I missed you! My sister…. you are too. My Dad! How are you?

I just spent this night by going to Jerry’s house. He is very nice coz He bought me empty CD… but He didn’t want to be payed his money! hoh….

Last night I slept in A6 room with Pak Salamsyah. He is an offshore employee in TOTAL. Then early in the morning, I got up at 5.45 am. Then I went to bath and continued to the restaurant to have breakfast. Before that, I brought a teeth paste for Mbak Didi. It is because of unplan program… we spent a night there. We didn’t bring substitution for clothes…

I think it’s a wonderful xperience coz I could meet many kind people there. They could open my mind!

I went to HSE office to discuss about Safety rules there. This task is ordered by Icha… I met Pak Indra and the genx… I was explained about anythings.from SWL, CWP, HWP, SOP, SSI, etc… The acronyms that I didn’t know before. I was also permited to took a harness picture for Mbak Didi.

In the middle of the day… I went to restaurant for lunch. Then I came back to othe traffic (helipad)… back to Balikpapan via Helicopter…(Started at 1.50 pm and arrived Balikpapan at 2.15 pm)

It’s very interesting… I can see mahakam delta throuh my flight. I gathered with Mbak Didi and Agus Hidayat, a technician from Alssa.

When I arrived Balikpapan, in Sepinggan Airport first. Then I had been pictured! this!

 

A shuttle car carried me to the Office in Jalan Minyak. I met Icha, and several people in my room. There are 5 persons in my room (too many….!)

Road to CPU by Helicopter! :)

I had a plan going to CPU this day, with my mentor, Mbak Didi. The objection for me is observing the radio equipments there. This is my first time going to CPU!!
From Balikpapan, we ride KIJANG driven by pak TUlus at 8.30 am, coz We missed the car!)..Then at 9.30 am, we started this journey by helicopter!!! Uigggghhhh it’s un4getable xperience coz it’s my first time…and very exciting!
I never forget it!
I could see the whole sea, cloud, blue sky, and rigs in the middle of the sea! I can see all of God’s creature!
Oh my God!!! THanks… U hv given me chance!
Then We arrived in CPU at 10.10 am.

 
In CPU, I could see good scenery there… In the middle of Delta Mahakam, TOTAL’s base is very clean, tidy, nice, and comfortable for employees there. There are many people work there to operate all the things there.
For telecommunication division, although only supporting division, which means, it’s not in core business of TOTAL, telecommunication is an important things to maintain coz it is related to the communication from site to site.

I met several people in IST/TEL, They are Pak Ibramsyah, Agus (Alssa), Fajar and Tamar (Jasnikom), Mas INdra, Mas Hans, Pak Trijoko (HSE), and Virgo (Ericsson).

They want to check TELKOMSEL acces from CPU to CCNUBI…
And Radio Trunking System….

Before that, we had lunch first.

IN work time, I finished my work by checking my email and brows some website. And in the middle of night, I played Bilyard with Mbak Didi, Agus, Tamar, satpam, and a Chef. I can’t do that games…. But I take it for fun… just for fun! And the positive thing is getting some knowledge and practicals works.

OK…

I just spent this day by watching a film. This day… I spent my day by sleeping. But accidently I met mas Mulyadi and Sabana that wanted to go to the office. Yeah… I followed them after I finished my lunch.
I browsed some websites and updated my friendster there.
In the afternoon 5.15 pm I went to Church. Andy could’t go to Church this day. I went there by angkot 6 prapatan. As usual, The Church is St. Teresia. Then I hv an appointment meet angga, who will interns in Chevron. I had dinner with him by buying Pecel lele… (expensive!!! IDR 20.000,00!

What a f*ck sh*et!

I played badminton in GOR, jalan Senayan. As same as last Saturday, Andi, Haris, Lulus, Pak Joko, Jeri, Riksa, an old man, and I… came there…
I was very sorry bcoz I smashed Lulus’ eyes!!! (sorry Lus, I just very spiritous! haha)
Then in the afternoon, I went to Melawai Beach (again = in 3rd time!!!)

    
But I went there with Tyas, Ikhsan, Reswa, Dika, Yudi, and Irvan. We enjoyed food there… and took some pictures.
At 8 pm, we went to Monumen Perjuangan… We enjoyed full moon…

Birthday Party for Sabana and Andien

It was raining. I was disapointed coz my shoes were wet. Oh… until in the afternoon I kept my feet wet because of that…
Planly, I wanted to meet Pak Alam. I just wanted to discuss something ’bout my topic… again about transmit/receive frequency there.
Unfortunately, He was in heavy load work, there. They had guests to BER test. Yeah,… today I didn’t know what to do.
But… It was a miracle!!!
Andien’s birthday is today!!!!!!!!
Haha..
It was my lucky.
Tyas, Sansan, Nina, Johny, Tigor, Yudi, Rahmadi, Reswa, Rida, and I came to that birthday celebration! Haha.

My lucky was still goin on at night… Coz Sabana treated me in Pizza Hut!!!
Sabana, Pak Aang, Pak Ucup, Irvan, and Yudi joined Sabana’s birthday party at Pizza Hut!!!
