Yeah… Kambing Guling

It’s wonderful day for starting my week. I invited to the party in Gunung Utara. There was smoky goat meat… (daging kambing,,,,,) there … It was such a delicious food. Under the tower in Gunung Utara, we, IST/TEL department staffs stood in front of the building and ate that food.

I think it was a rare chance. Icha… poor you coz u r still in Senipah now. If u were here…
Thank Pak Joedo who led this party.

We also met Pak Yoke… who is division head in IST division….
We are in a familiar situation coz some laughs spoiled there. But I think it’s not true or fake… coz people there not show their honest. I felt that.

In the afternoon, incidently i got some snack from Mr Johannes. Mas Hadi and I got it… ! Poor u agung and Sabana… We’ve got some Pookies…
THen I was called by Irvan to accompany him back home. An incidently again… I met Tyas, with her friends. I was vry excited coz it’s not very predictable b4. It means that I can go touring in Balikpapan by her, beautiful girl that I’ve met here….

What I’ve got today?
I learnt data network again from Mas Hadi. Thank Mas Hadi! But I should fix it tomorrow. I forgot to configure some IP address and router/switch brand.

And…. It’s suprised me coz my mentor, Mbak Didi, said that I will be assigned to CPA next week. I hope I will be the one who get lenty of knowledge experience there…

Saturday, June 23, 2007.
Last night I joined jogging in Total employees club. I followed jogging activity start at 5.30 pm, the time after work. I jogging surrounding the mountains in Pertamina housing and several mild forest.

Hoooo… How sweaty I was…

I’ve got a bottle of Ades mineral water and two ‘cek Wan’. I also met several people who mostly works in petrophysics. They are Haris, Risha, Andy, Pak Joko, etc. After that I carried to my kos2an by a motorcycle with Haris. Then I was tired and went to sleep.

In the morning I got up at 6.43 am. It’s such a nice sleep.

And then On Saturday, I went to play badminton. From 8 am – 12 am… It’s such an interesting activity coz it’s my hobby since I was a child.

Same as I did on Jogging last night, I met Haris, Lulus, Andy, Jerry, Pak Joko, and Mas Ary. They are mostly from Petrophysics. Then I had breakfast and lunch in warung near to the Sport Building. What u see? A girl who serve the food is very beautiful It made me more spiritous…

Ok… meanwhile at night I will go to Fantasy Mall… But I don’t know the direction at all.

Finally, I didn’t go there. Yudi, Irvan, and I only went to Ramayana Department store. We was just looking around the store and stayed in Book Store for a while. On the way we went to home, we bought kebab, in kebab turki. THere were many people were waiting 4 that food. That made us want to buy that food.

Next Monday… Tyas will come to Balikpapan. She is my ITB students Choir friend. Her hometown is here, Balikpapan. So, I asked her to carry me go walking around this town. Yeah, I hope it will be wonderful.

Oh… I miss my family. But we live separately. My mom and Dad live in Lampung, My sister lives in Solo… Then I live in Balikpapan for 2 months. I hope they are in a good health and happy…

Friday, With Seafood in Kebun Sayur…

I went to the office as usual. I did my visio task… from Mas Hady. I learnt network topology… that connecting router, router-switch, and switch. Actually, I had known network topology between balikpapan, jakarta, senipah, etc. yEAH… actually the network within balikpapan itself is very reliable, bcoz the type of topology is ring topology. But, the network type between each site is only bus topology. It means, there are no redundancy system within its network. Therefore, the system will not reliable if only one of the hub/link is down.

Then at break time… I went to Kebon Sayur with Mas Agung and Mbak Didi (my mentor). I went there by angkot. We ate seafood there. Mbak Didi ate Bawal Fish, while me and Agung ate cumi-cumi (squid). It’s very interesting coz I treated by mbak Didi.

THen in the afternoon, I joined jogging club. I met several people, mostly from petrophysics department. A person that I knew first is Andy’s, my senior mate in High School. Then, I knew Andy’s friends, include Pak Joko, a person who is contracted by total, from Schlumberger.

Oh… tomorrow I will play badminton.

ThursdAY, 21st June 2007

I didn’t do any important things today. I just went to office… fulfill my journal and continue my report.

But the interesting part that I’ve got is: I met Agung and Hamzah. They are newcomers in my room. They came from Teledata.

Agung’s hometown is Jogjakarta. Same as me…He was an SMA2 student. His academic background is Electrical Engineering D3 in Sanata Dharma University and continue to UGM… He also goes to Catholic Church.

While Hamzah is Singaporean.
We all discused a lot of things about anything. From celebrities, TV serial and music that are popular in Singapore to telecommunication job.

Icha will go to Field tomorrow. She borrowed my red clothes=trouser, safety shoes, and helmet. Icha, Rida and I went to my kos2an and took that stuffs. I don’t hv any plan to go to fields. I hope my mentor will arrange my field trip. Hopefully She will guide me in that field trip.
But the important thing that I should doo is finishing my assignment… yeah…

Last Senipah trip is very unforgetable. If I had a chance to go there again,,, and being a manager in Total…
It could be my new experience!!

Report from Senipah… !

   

Oh.. it’s not like I imagined b4. Senipah is not bad as I thought. The field is very big and clean. All of the facilities are provided there.

I met 5 OJT persons from ITB. They are Tezar, Popy, Fikri, Dendy, and Dito. They are participants of OJT… Mostly, they have been there for 2 weeks.

B4 met them, I also visited tower in senipah to communicate three areas: Balikpapan, CPA, and Bekapai. Inside the building below the tower, I observed 3 multiplexers, 3 radio,  radio trunking, telkomsel transceiver, and slot for 16E1. There will be equipments for microwave SDH backbone there. and all the practice has been reserved.

Tomorrow I will go to Senipah. I hope it will be nice journey!

I will accompany Mas Hady (an employee from Schlumberger). He also accompany his friend to check telecommunication hardwares in Senipah.

Just for 1 day.

Weekend in Balikpapan

There are such a lot of places in Balikpapan. But.. i think they are not really interesting. In Saturday afternoon, Yudi and I went to Melawai Beach. Indeed… it’s not really a tourist beach cos it’s only ‘food vacation’ on the beach. There are a lot of people there and eat food there. Many people sell food like Bakso, Noodles, Degan, etc. It’s like in Java… coz lots of people here are Javanese and the food are Javanese too.

But… one thing that I can remember. I found the place… with the green grass, near to the beach mouth… and I could see the sunset early in the afternoon. I kept picture bcoz i brought my digital camera. Oh,…. it’s a good picture… I think. Next time I will upload it here.

Btw, I also visited Merdeka Court, Balikpapan Plaza (again)…

If u are Balikpapan native… U can imagine that we walked from Merdeka Court to Balikpapan Plaza! oh… it’s too far… I think it’s 6 km. Oh… How tired I was!

Then on Sunday, I went to Church with Andi, my senior in High School. We went there by motorcycle(bike). Yeah… then I was treated by him. Oh,…. how happy I was, right!

B4 I went to church, I went to Mas Nanang’s Kos2an. I was also treated Mi ayam near to his kos2an. His kos2an is near to Novotel! And it’s wonderful. I can see beach if I went to its balkon!.

Newcomers

There are a lot of friends who follow OJT program in Total Balikpapan. Most of them are ITB students. I didn’t know them b4.. yeah.. The major program of them are Geology, Geophysics, Industrial Engineering, Phisical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Etc.

I didn’t remember their names. But their faces are familiar to me.

A friend that I know her well is Farida, Industrial Engineering 2004. She is in HRD now.. She joins her internship there for 2 months. I do believe that people there are smart people and good students.

O yeah,…. I met friends from Geologist that will send to Samarinda to map Samarinda Stadion for next year PON. Oh… I can’t imagine they will be tough there.

Yeah.. after lunch. I will finish and edit my chapter 2. Too much letters I wrote.. I should make it simpler.

The 5th day of internship

it’s a real life. but i’m disappointed.

You just get up from your dream. Back to basic is not a good thing.

The 1st day of Internship or Job Training

Finally… I started this intership program.

How did I feel? I was excited.

from Pacific Hotel at 7 am, I arrived at Total E&P office at 7.10 am. Before that I had breakfast at that Hotel first. And I gathered with other friends in the same program and other programs like recruitment of Total.

When I arrived at total office, I discussed with other friends like Gatot(Geologi 02), Ryan(TL03), etc. They are candidates in Total..

Then I entered that office and met Ms Apri (HRD) and I filled the identification card.

After that, I introduced myself to other employees there. Firstly, I met Pak Joedo, who is the manager of IST/TEL. He graduated from ITB (angk. 88). He is very nice and easy going cos he always gave us a guide to other employees and make us smile.

Before we introduced us to other employees, we were explained much of topics of telecommunication problem. There are many divisions in this departement. There are two categories. They are TOM (Operation and Maintenance) and Project&Method. We have two chances to join in both of that categories. It’s such a good thing, right?

Both of the categories there can be divided in many division. FOr TOM, there are 4 parts. They are Radio and telephony, Network infrastructure, Telecommunication facilities, and Field. I choosed Telecommunication facilities and take CCTV as my topic. Beside that, For project and Method, I hv a chances take a training in project.. that still in progress. The project is making networking from production place better than b4 and upgrade all of the links.

In the middle of the job training. I also had a lunch in Pacific Hotel. I had no wonder coz the cost of this hotel bill is very expensive. I think… IDR 1 million per day. (include all facilities). Myfriend… (Tyos bro’ had checked out today!)

Btw, I don’t hv a kos-kosan… yet here. I think.. I should find that tomorrow. Coz I should check out next Thursday

I finished my first internship today… at 5.30 pm. .Finally, I arrived at hotel at 6 pm..

I should prepare all the matters like PDH and SDH tomorrow.

Finally, I arrived Balikpapan

I started my journey from bandung at 7 am… by PrimaJasa bus. And then I arrived Soekarno-Hatta airport at 11.00 am. I was with other 5 friends who will do internship in Total too. I was very excited coz it is my first flight since I’m alive.

I was waiting for 2,5 hours for the flight. The schedule of the departure is 1.45pm. I took Garuda Indonesia and sat at 17A seat in economic class. My next seat is empty.. Other friends sat in my backward…. I was very excited again:)) I looked at the sea, water, mountain, river, and other God’s creature that are very unbelieveble… oh… Thank God!

Then I arrived Sepinggan airport at 5.00 WITA..

and incidently… I met mas Nenang… the member of PSM ITB… who works at Total too. It was very funny coz… we always meet in the training of PSM and I don’t know that he went to Balikpapan too… in the same time.

But, sadly, I didn’t go to Church this Sunday. I didn’t hv a time going there. Sorry.

Tommorow is my first day of internship. I hope I will do as I can do and God bless me always. Mom, Dad, My sister,,… I miss u all!

When I talked to a ‘beautiful girl!’(9/6/07)

O… Gosh! Whaddup.. with me last night?

I couldn’t stop anything… coz she is very beautiful, smart, and oh… really … complete  woman. She is very religious,,, she is preaty…

She is Ehm ehm… a member of ITB students Choir. I could open the conversation coz i hv a job training or intership in Balikpapan, her hometown. So I started by talking bout balikpapan…. one day b4 i took the gathering party.

And… incidentaly, i had a chance sitting with her in a small table with other friends (6 persons in a table) .

We talked much..

I’m really interested ’bout how the way she looks, says, smiles, etc. I think she is a nice candidates to be my next best friend or special friend.  (ngarep… )

There’s such thing that i couldn’t suppose…

but it happened again.. and again…

But i don’t give up! I don’t give up!

Briefing at total E&P Jakarta (5th June 2007)

Actually… firstly… i went to jakarta by travel Xtrans.. I was accompanied by Icha and Farida (TI 04) who are the participant s of the internship there…

We went to Jakarta (from cihampelas at 7.00 am) and arrived at Kuningan Plaza at 09.30 am. We were excited coz in that building I met other ITB students such as San-san (Microbiology 04), Popi and Vitra (TL/environmental Engineering 04), also Mas Ivan (Geology Engineering 03) who will do his thesis there.

Exactly… we met Mrs Anti, Mrs Shanty.. who are HRD ones. They were very kind. We had got a short presentation from Mrs Shanty which explained TOTAL company globally, hierarchical of the company, and the culture of works. We also had an explanation about Balikpapan city, how people live there and how we can survive there. I was very excited and can’t help going there, buds!

I am going to Balikpapan on Sunday, 10th June 2007… exactly… at 2 pm at Soekarno Hatta airport by Garuda Indonesia. I think it will be my first experience going sumwhere by plane. (and it’s very nice coz it’s free!)

I’ll do my own way and will use this opportunity as well as I am. I can’t stand here and I can’t help going to Balikpapan! .. I’ll be there.

Last B’day celebration

when my bday… 19th May 2007, i treated my friends to kembang pare.. which is located in Halmahera street.. near to jalan Riau!
it is a wonderful place there… u can sit with the legs cross pluss pillow in that desk.
Bob, Bonga, Apis, Riza, and Adrie are my housemates in Bandung. They are invited by me to celebrate my bday.
They all are ITB students except adrie.

We enjoyed that food and place. Why? because the atmosphere is very hommy and traditional… also the food is very delicious.
That the second time i’ve ever gone there.

The main menu that you should order is nasi liwet. Although that food is special food from Solo…, the taste and
is very delicious… for me (B’coz ive never eat nasi liwet originally from solo!) . I paid IDR 69000 for one packet of nasi liwet. You will get a cattle of rice and
a chicken.. (complete… without head! vegetables and sambal ). Each packet of nasi liwet can be eaten by 4 men or 5 women.
You will be satisfied! I guarantee it!

Whdya think ’bout haggard or pointed face….?

is it good or not?
As my friend thought, aryo, He said that the people with haggard face make him is liked by women!
Really i don’t believe it first… Why? Because there is a girl… tell me that i should increase my weight
bcoz she doesn’t like my haggard face….

i was confused..
but now… i should be confident bcoz evryone in d world hv unique image. there will be better if it applies in choosed person, lke me! ??
and now… i just think ’bout health by doing sport and eat nutritious food.
it will make me heaalthy, right?

How to swim?

Oh, dear…

exactly i can’t swim. But nowadays.. I start to swim…yeah… just a little bit progression rather than b4.

Thanks to Bob, Bong, and Nanta that had accompanied me go to swimming pool…

I hope in this month i can swim well as u can!

finally, i hv finished my exam!

what a wonderful day! coz i hv finished my exam. But this month i should go to Borneo to take an internship. Hopefully it will be nice experience in my life…

Later on,… I should prepare anything that i have to bring there! I hv borrowed a case from Dodik, (thx, Dik!) I hv booked Nanta to keep my compi in his room… etc.
